Revolutionary historical relic cluster Mao Khe coal mine in Vinh Lap area, Mao Khe ward, Dong Trieu town, Quang Ninh province. Area: 9.5 hectares. The Mao Khe coal mine is the place to mark the revolutionary activities of patriotic journalist Nguyen Van Cu and is also the site of the establishment of the first Party cell in Quang Ninh mines. Every year on November 12, on the occasion of the Indomitable Mine Day, Mao Khe Coal Company organizes activities to review the tradition of the workers' movement. Coming here, visitors can also visit Non Dong Pagoda, also known as Tuong Quang Tu, built in the year of Trung Hung 1285 of the Tran Dynasty, marking a flourishing period of Vietnamese Buddhism. Currently, on the full moon day of the first lunar month, people in the area organize to go to the temple to burn incense to worship Buddha and to maintain the preservation of a cultural heritage that was destroyed by the French colonialists.
