On the afternoon of February 8, 2025, at Hà Lan Stadium (Mạo Khê Ward), the Organizing Committee of the 13th Đông Triều City Football Tournament – Hà Lan Cup 2025 officially opened the tournament.

Attending the event to encourage the tournament were the following dignitaries: Nguyễn Ngọc Bằng – Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council; Nguyễn Thanh Tùng – Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Culture & Sports; Nguyễn Thị Bích Liên – Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the City Party Committee’s Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Chairman of the City Fatherland Front Committee; Hoàng Văn Đề – Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the City Party Committee’s Inspection Commission; Vũ Mạnh Huyền – Member of the Standing Committee, Secretary of the Mạo Khê Ward Party Committee; Đỗ Thị Hà – City Party Committee Member, Director of the Department of Culture & Information, Director of the City Center for Communication and Culture, Head of the Organizing Committee; Mr. Trần Văn Viết – Chairman of the City Business Association, Director of Hà Lan Company, Co-Head of the Organizing Committee; along with leaders from city departments, localities, businesses, and high schools within the city.

The 13th Đông Triều City Football Tournament – Hà Lan Cup 2025 attracts 19 teams with over 350 players from local wards, communes, businesses, and high schools across the city. The teams are divided into 6 groups to compete in a round-robin format to determine the 1st, 2nd, and joint 3rd place winners. Immediately following the opening ceremony, a match took place between Mạo Khê Ward’s football team and Việt Dân Commune’s team; and another between Bình Khê Ward’s football team and Bình Dương Ward’s football team. The tournament matches will continue every Saturday and Sunday afternoon until April 9, 2025

The Dong Trieu City Football Tournament – Hà Lan Cup has been maintained and has become an annual tradition. This is an opportunity for football clubs to compete, learn from each other, and continue supporting the campaign “All people practice physical exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho.” Through this tournament, excellent players will be selected to form the city’s football team to participate in the 2025 Quảng Ninh Provincial Football Tournament.
